Iranian Deserts

 

1-Dasht-e Kavir is a large desert lying in the middle of the Iranian plateau. It is about 800-kilometre-long by 320-kilometre-wide with a total surface area of about 77,600 km² making it the Earth’s 24th largest desert. The area of this desert stretches from the Alborz mountain range in the north-west to the Dasht-e Lut in the south-east. It is partitioned among the Iranian provinces of Khorasan, kerman, Semnan, Tehran, Isfahan and Yazd.🏜

2-The Lut Desert, is a large salt desert located in the provinces of Kerman and Sistan and Baluchestan, Iran. It is the world’s 25th-largest desert, and was included on UNESCO’s World Heritage List on July 2016. The surface of its sand has been measured at temperatures as high as 70 °C (159 °F), making it one of the world’s driest and hottest places.
3-The Maranjab desert, located near Kashan city is one of the ancient desert cities of Isfahan province. It has a typical climate of hot and dry in summer, cold and dry in winter, and very little rainfall during the year. Shah Abbasi Caravanserai of Maranjab is one of the landmarks of this stunning desert. This structure was built in 1603 AD by the order of Shah Abbas Safavid along the Silk Road so that the passengers, most of whom traveled through deserts, would spend nights in this roadside inn.

۱- کویر مرنجاب در حاشیه شهرستان آران و بیدگل استان اصفهان قرار دارد و یکی از مشهورترین مقاصد کویرگردی در کاشان محسوب می شود.
۲- دشت لوت، دشتی بیابانی در جنوب شرقی ایران، در بین بخشی‌هایی از استان‌های کرمان، سیستان و بلوچستان قرار دارد.
۳-دشت کویر وسیع‌ترین و یکی از زیباترین دشت‌های ایران است که در جنوب رشته کوه البرز و مرکز شمالی ایران جای دارد و استان‌های کرمان، خراسان رضوی، سمنان، یزد، تهران و مرکزی را دربر می‌گیرد.
