LAFC INTRODUCE SPECIAL CALIFORNIA LICENSE PLATES

Proceeds from the sale of the license plate to help raise funds for

LAFC Foundation and the California Natural Resources Agency

As the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) celebrates the sixth anniversary of ‘LAFC Day’ in LA today (April 27), the 2022 MLS Cup Champions, in partnership with the California Natural Resources Agency, has announced the creation of the LAFC specialty license plate for fans to purchase to support the state’s Outdoors For All initiative designed to expand outdoor access for all Californians.

“LAFC is one of the most exciting teams in professional sports and their fans are becoming world famous,” said California Natural Resources Secretary Wade Crowfoot. “A specialty license plate lets LAFC fans show their support while raising funds to help expand parks and open space for all Californians to enjoy. This new license place is a winner for everyone.”

LAFC is the first MLS team in California with a custom license plate and fans can now customize and reserve their own LAFC license plates at LAFCPlates.com

Proceeds from the LAFC-themed plate will help provide expansion of equitable access for all Californians to State Parks, public lands and cultural and historic places — including the 160-acre campus of Exposition Park in Los Angeles, home to BMO Stadium and LAFC. A portion of the funds will also support the LAFC Foundation and the Club’s community initiatives.

Fans who reserve an LAFC license plate will receive a free limited edition 2022 MLS Cup Champions commemorative license plate frame to proudly display on your vehicle until plates go into production – quantities are limited to the first 1,000 orders. All plates ordered must be associated with a California registered vehicle.

The LAFC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is the social impact arm of the Los Angeles Football Club. Established in 2018, the Foundation is dedicated to and being a force for good in our community by supporting critical programs, local organizations, partners, and infrastructure that not only bring the world’s game to more people, but also brings them the life skills and resources they need to be successful off the pitch.

The California Natural Resources Agency aims to restore, protect, and manage the state’s natural, historical, and cultural resources for all current and future generations.
