The Strange Affair of Uncle Harry (1945)
Master of the thriller Robert Siodmak helms this daring melodrama about a lonely bachelor (George Sanders) who is torn between his domineering sister and romantic interest (Ella Raines). Followed by a psychological thriller about a newly wealthy bride (Joan Bennett) who uncovers her groom’s (Michael Redgrave) macabre hobby. Director Fritz Lang explores Freudian neuroses through nightmarish imagery and a hypnotizing Miklós Rózsa score.
Presented in collaboration with the UCLA AMIA Student Chapter.
