Last week, Los Angeles reached a major milestone in its COVID-19 response efforts, announcing it has administered more than one million tests across the City since the beginning of the pandemic. The City’s testing program is a partnership with Curative, Inc., and CORE, providing free COVID-19 testing to all Angelenos, whether or not they are experiencing coronavirus symptoms.
“Around the same time we reached a testing milestone, the L.A. County Department of Public Health confirmed that COVID-19-related deaths surpassed 5,000 in the region,” said Controller Galperin. “Testing is key to slowing the spread of COVID-19, allows us to know where infections are occurring and helps us save lives.
