This year for Nowruz celebration at TheWhite House ,members of Iranian-American community leaders from all over US were invited to visit the White House.Reza Goharzad (Politics & society Anchor and Editor in chief of The Iran Post ) was invited too.
At this visit Reza Goharzad met Jason Rezaeian-Washington Post journalist and Siamak Namazi who were prisoned in Iran and US administration freed them from Iranin Ewin prison.
The inclusion of a traditional Haft-Seen display with elements from “Shahnameh”, and the seven elements of life, along with a framed note from
‘President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, is a significant gesture of respect and recognition for the Iranian-American community and the Nowruz celebration. The Haft-Seen table is a customary arrangement for Nowruz, symbolizing various aspects of life and renewal.
By incorporating elements from “Shahnameh”, an epic poem central to Persian culture, the display reflects a deep appreciation for Iran’s rich literary heritage. The framed note from President Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden further emphasizes the importance of cultural inclusivity and diplomacy.
Their message of “Happy Nowruz 2024” not only acknowledges the significance of the occasion but also extends warm wishes to all those celebrating Nowruz, fostering a sense of unity and goodwill.
