The Getty Center’s Free Outdoor Concert Series Is Back Again Next Month — Tickets Go Live On May 7
One of the city’s most beloved events is returning for a new season, mixing live music with an unbeatable setting.
One of Los Angeles’ most popular summer traditions is back, turning a museum courtyard high above the city into an open-air stage where music meets sunset light and the crowd shows up early enough to claim every good spot.
The Off the 405 concert series runs across five Saturday evenings from late May through late August, with free shows that still manage to feel like a special occasion every time. This year’s lineup mixes poetry, punk revival, experimental folk, and electronic music across very different scenes:
- May 30, Aja Monet
Surrealist blues poetry and spoken word layered with jazz-inflected, politically charged performance. - June 13, Hunx and His Punx
Garage punk revival with chaotic glam energy, queer camp attitude, and cult outsider pop hooks. - July 11, LEENALCHI
Seoul-based seven-piece reworking Korean folk storytelling into bass-heavy, rhythmic experimental arrangements. - July 25, Horse Lords
Baltimore experimental quartet built on repetition, math-rock precision, and hypnotic structural patterns. - August 22, Laurel Halo
Los Angeles electronic composer blending techno, ambient textures, and abstract, avant-garde production.
What to know before attending Getty’s Off the 405 concerts
While admission is free, of course, reservations are required and released ahead of each date. They tend to go quickly, so planning in advance is highly recommended.
Parking is not included, though evening arrivals can sometimes qualify for reduced or free rates depending on timing, which makes late entry a common workaround.
