PG&E Meteorology is monitoring potential locally breezy, dry, north winds in portions of eight counties and two tribal areas in northern California on Wednesday, Sept. 20. Approximately 4,200 customers will be impacted by this potential shutoff. In some counties (Napa & Yolo), fewer than 11 customers could be affected if adverse conditions materialize. Please refer to the following news release for more details.

Given that the scope of this PSPS event is relatively small, please conduct your outreach in the impacted areas ONLY IF YOU SEE FIT. Impacted customers will be receiving notifications via text, email, and automated phone calls about the potential shutoffs today. To check if their location is being monitored for the safety shutoff, customers can visit www.pge.com/pspsupdates and enter their address online. This website is available in 16 languages.

PG&E’s Medical Baseline Program participants must verify their receipt of vital safety communications. To ensure their well-being, PG&E employees will conduct individual, in-person visits, with a primary focus on customers relying on electricity for critical life-sustaining equipment. At PG&E, we are determined to stop catastrophic wildfires. The Public Safety Power Shutoff is a last-resort tool in helping us reduce wildfire risk in the communities we serve. We understand that being without power is difficult for our customers, especially in areas that experience multiple outages. We appreciate our customers’ patience as we work to safely deliver their electricity.
