IN GREAT MEMORY OF MAHSA JINA AMINI AND COURAGEOUS SOULS WHO ROSE AGAINST REPRESSION
On this faithful day, three years ago, the hands of an evil regime consumed by its inner nature of repression, took the precious life of an innocent woman, Jina Mahsa Amini, and with it ignited the fury of a nation fed up with decades of reactionary policies, in particular towards women.
The glorious uprising that has come to be known as the “Mahsa Movement”, energized millions of people in Iran and abroad, demanding an end to the Islamic regime.
Unfortunately, while many courageous people got maimed, arrested, tortured and killed in Iran, in diaspora elements of the previous despotic regime, supporters of the politics of nostalgia and apologists of the current one collectively caused disunity and diverted the movement through their idiotic campaigns such as “I give the power of attorney” (وکالت میدهم), and once again managed to hand the Islamic regime a lifeline.
Yet, the movement and struggle continues with eyes on a free society based on neo-democratic formulations.
