At PG&E, our hearts go out to everyone impacted by the devastating wildfires in Southern California. In response to the fires, PG&E continues to share equipment and resources on the ground and in the air.
The below link includes B-roll showing the work of our Electric Operations crews as they rebuild an entire circuit in Altadena that was damaged in the Eaton Fire. The B-roll link also includes a brief interview with Nate Alexander, a PG&E lineworker who was an apprentice in the Altadena area previously in his career. Nate, whose title is Electric Operations Overhead General Construction Subforman, is based in Paso Robles.

PG&E’s 240-person mutual-assistance effort is in support of customers of Southern California Edison, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and Southern California Gas and includes:
- Two Blackhawk helicopters to support CAL FIRE’s efforts to combat the blazes. To date, they’ve made over 90 drops, delivering more than 75k gallons of water.
- 25 Safety & Infrastructure Protection Team (SIPT) crews plus supervisors and two Public Safety Specialist (PSS) A reps. This 64-person contingent has been supporting asset protection. [SIPT fact sheet]
- 52 Electric Operations Distribution coworkers supporting repairs and restoration work.
- 169 Gas coworkers consisting of Gas Service Representatives (GSRs) and support leadership and personnel. They will be working to complete meter and appliance inspections and perform relights in non-fire affected areas.
