This Talented Iranian Sculptor’s Steampunk Animal Masterpieces

Steampunk, the aesthetic movement inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery, just got taken to a whole new level by Hasan Novrozi, an ingenious Iranian sculptor. Novrozi has created a steampunk zoo of animal sculptures that are anything but a soulless assembly of scrap metal. His creatures — including the mighty, mythical Pegasus — scream with power, grace, and life. And that’s not all. The artist’s talents also extend to sculpting with clay and other materials.

 

Hasan Novrozi, a talented sculptor trained in Iran, has created a wonderful collection of steampunk animal sculptures that are full of life and emotion – despite being painstakingly assembled from thousands of metal tools, automotive components, and other pieces of scrap metal.

In addition to his epic Pegasus statue, he has also created other creatures in a variety of styles, all of which are stunning!

His more heavily-welded animal sculptures remind us of these magical animal sculptures by Ellen Jewett, while his steampunk pegasus reminds us of these life-like steampunk animal sculptures by Igor Verniy.
