Plane Grove tells the story of the 17-kilometer long Vali Asr Street, which connects Railway Square in the south of Tehran to the cold and mountainous region of Tajrish Square in the north. The film is narrated by Nava Tavakkolimehr, an architect and urban planner who travels through the city, from Azeri Teahouse in the south up to the north, interviewing people.

She aims to investigate how the collective memory constructs urban spaces. Individuals like Morteza Ahmadi, an actor and singer of Tehrani folkloric songs; Houri E’tesam, a long-time resident of the Amiriyeh District; and others narrate their own memories of Vali Asr Street and its surrounding neighborhoods.

The Memory of Niavaran is a documentary about one of the most historic and splendid landmarks in Tehran, Niavaran Palace, which was once home to the king and his family before the Revolution of 1979. Hadi Afarideh converses intimately with the people who run stores near Niavaran Palace or who work in the palace as employees or security guards. These conversations reveal the kind of textured memory that showcases the glory and beauty of this magnificent complex.
