Our partnership with local newsrooms provides a new opportunity this month with access to a newsmaker. The first collaborative interview will be with Marine Col. Nicole Mann, the first Native American woman to travel to space.
Mann, a member of the Wailacki of the Round Valley Indian Tribes in California, is at the International Space Station and will be interviewed by AP Aerospace Writer Marcia Dunn, with questions submitted by AP members and others.
The interview is part of a new AP initiative to provide our members access to newsmakers. Our goal is to enable you to provide localized content on topics that matter to your readers.
We are soliciting questions from newsrooms and welcome yours. Please submit your questions by Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 5 p.m. Eastern to Katie Oyan, deputy news director for local news success. The interview is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 12:40 p.m. Eastern. We will include as many questions as time allows.
The AP will move a story, photos and video from the interview, which will be broadcast on NASA TV at https://discover.ap.org/e/62432/nasalive/4q3tf8/1061820238?h=6WXQuzjCGxnqMvLK3WlUlLW9-M0hWDDrE3c-y0touhU. You are welcome to tune in for the session! |
