Shahriar Afshar Biography
Shahriar Afshar is an expert in government relations, public policy & community affairs with over 25 years in public agencies, community activism and nonprofit leadership from San Diego to Washington, DC.
As the Founder & Host of Politics365.com (Siasat365.com) Podcasts, Mr. Afshar provides objective and unbiased analysis of current events and political issues that matter to the Iranian community. Every week, he brings forward discussions on key political figures, campaigns & issues from City Hall to Capitol Hill. Currently, Mr. Afshar is focused on producing podcast discussions around the Iranian Revolution of 2022, which is available in Farsi & English.
As a Community Activist, Mr. Afshar was the Founder of the Iranian Trade Association, an independent US business group that promoted entrepreneurship & private enterprise as sponsored by Fortune 100 US companies. He was the Co-Founder of the Iranian-American Democrats of San Diego and Iranian-American Democrats of California to promote voter engagement, education and empowerment. Mr. Afshar was a Board Advisor to the Association of Iranian-American Professionals and several other Iranian community groups.
As a Media Commentator, Mr. Afshar has provided numerous quotes, opinions and live on camera/radio interviews on current events, politics, government and Iranian-American issues from CNN to the Washington Post.
As a Philanthropist, Mr. Afshar is passionate about fighting food insecurity and works with a nonprofit food pantry, Murphy’s Produce with Purpose, to distribute fresh produce in low income communities in Southern California.
As an Autism Awareness Advocate, Mr. Afshar is an Autism Startup Mentor with a US civic organization, Multiple Hub, that helps develop better products and services for the Autism community, worldwide. He also podcasts on autism issues in English at AutismSpa.com.
As an Entrepreneur, Mr. Afshar has two enterprises:
Evregy.com, is a private equity firm that provides EV land services to accelerate the development of EV charging stations.
AfsharGroup.com is an advisory firm that provides local, state & federal government relations services on land development permitting,
community relations and business development projects.
