Lotus Communications Corp. is one of the largest privately owned Radio Station Groups in the United States. In Los Angeles, we operate Lotus Oxnard Corp., KIRN 670 AM, Lotus Los Angeles Corp., KWKW – Tu Liga Radio, and KFWB – La Mera Mera. Lotus Oxnard Corp., KIRN 670 AM is looking for a Board Operator /Editor with a strong desire to contribute to the overall success at a legendary radio station and to become part of our team.
Position Summary:
The Board Operator/Editor works as an integral part of the Programming team. The Board Operator typically works with On-air talent/DJ, Programming and Production team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in mapping out the shows topic and direction with Co-host and producer if needed.
- Work with Producer on execution of show elements.
- Must follow specific rules regarding appropriate content and indecency regulations.
- Follow Program Director’s instructions on mechanics and fundamentals.
- Airing live or pre-recorded shows, commercials and promos as scheduled.
- May require visits to client offices, premises or events.
- Troubleshoot issues as necessary.
- Edit video and audio clips.
- Other office/on air duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of 2 Years experience in talk radio.
- Excellent phone skills.
- Must be fluent in English and Farsi.
- Strong sound and video editing skills.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Being flexible and able to cover different shifts.
Preferred Education
Bachelors Degree.
Required Education
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Office environment, some repetitive motion required. Requires travel to station events and client sites, valid drivers’ license is required with good driving record. Must have a reliable means of transportation and maintain current insurance and registration.
