* Hamedan province is one of the largest cities of Iran and one of the capital cities of our country and it is a mountainous region located in the west of Iran. The center of Hamedan province is called Hamedan.

In summer the average temperature is about 30 degrees and in winter the temperature is about 2 degrees Celsius.

Currently, the city of Hamedan has a population of about 600,000 people and in this opinion it is the fourteenth most populous city in Iran and is still considered to be one of the capital cities of Iran.
*As mentioned above, the vast history of this province has made it possible to find many cultural and historical monuments there. Among the historical monuments of Hamedan, for example, the Hegmatane Hill can be mentioned. Among other historical monuments of this region, you can refer to the famous writings of the Treasury. * One of the other things to know is that this city is the grave site of some of Iran’s greatest celebrities, such as Baba Taher, Iranian poet and Iranian Arif, who lived in the fourth and fifth centuries. His tomb is now in Hamedan, and even a field named after him is in Hamedan.
*One of the other Iranian celebrities who has a tomb in Hamedan and whose fame is worldwide, Por Sina or Abu Ali Sina is an Iranian sage and scientist who is famous for his unique medical achievements. Por Sina was born in Bukhara and died in Hamedan, and that’s why his tomb was built in the same city. This tomb is one of the main tourist attractions in Hamedan nowadays.
*One of the most famous and well-known natural attractions of Hamedan is Alisadar Cave, which is located 75 km north-west of Hamedan, dating back to the Jurassic period. One of the main features of the weird but natural shape of the rocks on the roof of a cave, each of them has a specific shape and in some places they have a strange resemblance to animals. The water depth of this cave is 14 meters. Of course, in some parts of the cave, it is one of the main attractions during the trip to Hamedan.
* One of the important and growing industries in this city is agriculture. Hamedan agricultural products such as beetroot, potatoes, walnuts and grapes are some of the main agricultural products in the province. On the other hand, Hamedan Ghani is one of various mines, among which the granite, lead, silver and chalk can be mentioned.
* One of the main districts of Hamedan is Imam Square (former Pahlavi Square), which is located in the center of Hamedan. It is said that the map of the square was designed by a German architect and drew help from European styles.
* One of the most interesting things to know about Hamedan is that this city has a sister pact with four countries, which are Turkey, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Russia.
