Pistachio is one of the delicious varieties of Iranian nuts that most of us are interested in. The famous Greek historian Herodotus referred to the Iranian post in his writings. The pistachio tree in Iran is long, in some cultivation documents it is mentioned as four thousand years ago.

This plant first goes wild in the northeastern regions of Iran. At present, Iran has 360,000 pistachio orchards, from which about 300,000 tons of pistachios are harvested annually. Rafsanjan city in Kerman province is the cradle of Iran’s post.

 

Kerman province with a total of more than 270,000 fertile and infertile orchards produces 77% of the total product of the country and is considered as an important pistachio growing region in Iran and the world.
