LAFC SIGNS ALAN ‘SAVVY PANDA’ VU AS eMLS ATHLETE FOR 2022 SEASON

LOS ANGELES (Nov. 24, 2021) – The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) announced today the signing of elite gamer Alan Vu to represent the Black & Gold in eMLS for the 2022 season.

Vu, who plays under the gamertag Savvy Panda, will join LAFC after completing a career-best year of competition which saw him finish 5th in the overall FIFA rankings and 4th in North America after the 2021 FIFA playoffs.
“I’m honored and proud to be able to represent a great organization like LAFC in eMLS,” said Vu. “I’ve dreamt of this moment my whole life and for it to finally become a reality feels surreal and amazing.”
Originally from San Diego, Vu lives in Clovis, CA where he works full-time as a Registered Nurse. This will be Vu’s first-ever professional gaming contract.
Vu is now set to represent LAFC as the club enters its third season in eMLS competition. Vu will practice and compete in the custom-built LAFC McDonalds Streaming Lab located in downtown Los Angeles.
Launched in 2018, eMLS is a dedicated eSports league with professional EA SPORTS™ players representing clubs from across MLS competing in the League Series One, League Series Two, eMLS Cup tournaments and other gaming programming.
