Farhang Foundation is proud to present Farhang Connect – NEW LIGHT ON READING RUMI, a live talk with two of the world’s top Rumi scholars discussing the great poet.
Dr. Alan Williams (University of Manchester), the author of two newly published volumes of THE MASNAVI OF RUMI – A NEW ENGLISH TRANSLATION (Book One and Book Two), will be discussing these first two volumes of what will be a six-volume work, and will further explore Rumi as a poet and mystical writer.
Dr. Ahmad Karimi-Hakkak (University of Maryland and UCLA) will discuss Rumi, the poet and the mystic, and will also explore the poet’s predecessors and his notable influences and his appropriation in the modern era.
