| MEDIA ADVISORY** LAFC TEAMS UP WITH CORPORATE PARTNERS TO DONATE BACKPACKS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO 450 STUDENTS AT LA TIJERA ELEMENTARY Corporate Partners McDonalds, Panda Express and University of Phoenix To Supply Back-To-School Items To Local Elementary School Students The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) together with Club partners McDonalds, Panda Express and University of Phoenix are teaming up for a backpack and school supply giveaway at La Tijera Elementary School on Wednesday, September 16. Over 450 students will receive brand-new school supplies ahead of the upcoming school year.
Through the giveaway, each student in the TK – 5th grade range will receive an LAFC-branded backpack filled with school supplies including a planner, spiral notebooks, earbuds, pens and pencils.
Club partners McDonalds, Panda Express and University of Phoenix will include their own donations in each backpack. McDonalds will supply burger and fry-themed earphones, pens and coupons for meal items and Panda Express will be donating kids meal coupons, activities from their Cub Club and supplying free lunch for volunteers. University of Phoenix will include a copy of their self-published children’s book, A Dragon Who Learned to Fly.
Backpacks will be distributed in a drive-through format. Social distancing and other health guidelines will be observed.
