About The Artist:
New York native vocalist and songwriter, Dahlia, was birthed into the journey she is still on. With a focus on dance performance for over a decade, she also found love in poetry, theater and classical vocal performance. As a teenager, she shifted her focus and integrated her 10+ years of performance art study into songwriting. This began as an effort to cultivate a sense of individuality and simultaneously celebrate these traditional performance art forms she holds so dear. Her lyrics are flooded with themes of love, fluidity, empowerment, chaos, order and chaos again. Her first release, “Arrival” dropped in 2017 and lyrically, could potentially play out to be the thesis of her musical career. “This is about my liberation”, she says at the close of every hook.
